In 2002 we planted a small vineyard area of Syrah to experiment with the production of this grape variety in Val di Chio. Encouraged by the results, in 2018 we made a new planting of 0.50 hectares and 2021 we had the first pure production of Syrah wine.
Arnuta in our local dialect means "returned " as the desire and hope that has been reborn after the pandemic period. Arnuta symbolizes the hope that each new sunrise gives us for a better day.
Syrah is a vine of good vigor, which adapts well to various climatic and environmental conditions and is considered a fairly robust vine.
Grapes have medium to late ripening and good and consistent production.
Syrah is a very long-lived wine that acquires harmony and elegance on the palate with aging.
Arnuta is aged in wood for 18 months and continues aging in bottle for 1 year.
Its taste is sensual and voluminous, and the tannins have a fine, well-drawn grain. The finish is persistent, with balsamic echoes.
